  🌟 My Father used to talk to me often when he saw me reading more and more books.

 From a young age, I https://parg.co/bPrW used to read more and more books.

 I am Junayed Ashrafur Rahman

 A self-respecting person - but when I was a kid, my dad would often ask me, "What will you do in the future?"

 The fact that I write so much is only possible because I read more and more books.

 And this habit of reading books did not happen in a day or two. It's been a long time.

 🌟 My father was the biggest book dealer (also a big medicine dealer) in Nandail Bazar. That's why my father had a big library.

 Basically, one of the best habits of reading books was in my father's library.

 I made the biggest decisions of my life myself - even without anyone else's advice.

 And this has been possible mainly because of reading more and more books.

 But at one time I read more non-text books (in a word called "out books") than my text books.

 And seeing that, Dad would often say to me, "What are you going to do?"

 🌟 Originally the school college madrasa was the book business.

 Apart from the text books, there were books by William Shakespeare, Rabindranath Tagore, Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay, Bibhutibhushan Banerjee, Manik Banerjee.

 Besides, there were books of different countries translated into Bengali. Such as - Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shahnameh, Iliad, Odyssey, Arabian Nights .......

 Ramachandra's assassination of Ravana, Krishna's chariot driver (Parthasarathi = The Guide and Philosopher) at the Battle of Kurukshetra, The Battle of Sohrab - Rustam, the Battle of Troy, The Battle of Troy, Hector killed, Ulysses' repeated attempts to return home, Sindbad ...... (📙🙌🏻⌨️📲 SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE LITERARY ORIGINAL WORKS https://parg.co/bOc5 ) I was overwhelmed.

 🌟 I spent most of my day and night in the library.

 At one point I saw that there were no more books left in my father's library.

 And that's probably why I've been buying books since I was a class five student. Books that are not in my father's library.

 🌟 And gradually reading books as well as buying books became my habit.

 At one point, I realized that by the buying books I never fill our town, a village house, all the land, a bamboo garden, or even ponds. But I did not stop buying books. 

 Because, there are so many books in the world that it is not possible for any person to buy all the books.

 But despite that I continued to buy books.

 🌟 There are currently book apps, PDFs (📚 PAPER BOOK AND THE E-BOOK https://parg.co/bOcZ ) - but I had to buy books from different places, because apps, PDFs were not before.

 I have bought books from Kishoreganj, Mymensingh and even Dhaka Bangla Bazar, Nilkhet.

 This is how I built my personal library.

🌟 Parents must hope that their child will be established.

 And my father was educated in higher education before the liberation war. That's why I have to hope. Not just me, but my two other brothers.

 But I don't know if they had any interest in out-of-text books like mine.

 But because of my excessive interest in out books, my father used to make this tension that if I could not get education in formal education because of reading out books, what would I do?

 🌟 As I have seen, very few people in my society have the wealth that I have inherited from my father and grandfather. So I had no plans or intentions to make a living by being educated in higher education.

 🌟 In my childhood I used to think of William Shakespeare, Rabindranath Tagore, Count Leo Tolstoy - who established themselves in life, society and the world of knowledge without formal education.

 Even though he/she was educated in higher education, in the end he/she was followed by other great people.

 Sir Winston Churchill, Michael Madhusudan Dutt, Jaharlal Pandit Nehru, Promoth Chowdhury ...... Although educated in higher education - have adopted the practice of knowledge.

🌟 I am attracted to knowledge mainly because of my interest in knowledge, hereditary wealth and the motivation of great people.

 Imam Azam Abu Hanifa Rah. , Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir Rah. Despite being rich and busy, they devoted themself to knowledge.

 The lives of those great people gave me a different inspiration.

 🌟 But my father wanted me to be highly educated. Of course I did.

 But in the first place, I was more interested in direct knowledge than in formal education.

 So in this situation, my father often asks me, "What will you do?"

 🌟 In my childhood, I read Count Leo Tolstoy's "War and Peace", Alexander Belayev's "The Amphibian Man", Rabindranath Tagore's "Gora", Sarat Chandra Chatterjee's Srikant, Ian Fleming's "Dr. No" ......  

The night would have been two three in reading and my father would just look at it and say, "What are you going to do?"

   During the exam, the night before the Quran exam. Father was just surprised to read "Tafsir Mareful Quran" of Mufti Muhammad Shafi Rah. and told me, "What are you going to do?"

 Again, the night before the English exam, my father saw me reading Ian Fleming's novel "Thunder Ball" and said, "Now is the time for you to read these, what will you do?"

 Because, by that time, my father understood that just wanting to bind me in a textbook was like capturing a giant eagle in a small cage.

 🌟 But after I passed the entrance exam in 2001, my father realized that I was right for my goal.

 From then on, my father didn't talk much about reading out books.

 I passed LLB in 2017 and my father passed away in 2018. That is, Dad died after seeing my self-esteem.

কী করবে তুই (ভবিষ্যতে তুই কী করবি )?

 🌟 আমাকে বেশি বেশি বই পড়তে দেখে আমার আব্বা প্রায়ই যে কথা বলতেন ✒ 

ছোট থেকেই আমার অভ্যাস বেশি বেশি বই পড়া।

একজন আত্মপ্রতিষ্ঠিত ব্যক্তি - কিন্তু ছোটবেলায় আমাকে বেশি বেশি বই পড়তে দেখে আমার আব্বা প্রায়ই বলতেন , " কী করবে তুই ( ভবিষ্যতে তুই কী করবি ) ? " 

আমি যে এতো লেখালেখি করি , তা কিন্তু সম্ভব হয়েছে আমার বেশি বেশি বই পড়ার কারণেই।

আর বই পড়ার এই অভ্যাসটা কিন্তু দুই এক দিনে হয়নি। অনেক দিনে হয়েছে।

🌟 আমার আব্বা ছিলেন নান্দাইল বাজারের পুস্তকের সবচেয়ে বড় ব্যবসায়ি ( ঔষধেরও বড় ব্যবসায়ি ) । সেকারণেই আমার বাবার ছিলো বড় লাইব্রেরি।

মূলত বই পড়ার মতো শ্রেষ্ঠ অভ্যাসের একটা অভ্যাস আমার বাবার ঐ লাব্রেরিতেই হয়েছিল।

আমার জীবনের বড় বড় সিদ্ধান্তগুলো আমি নিজে নিয়েছি - এমনকি অন্যকারোর পরামর্শ ছাড়াই।

আর এটা সম্ভব হয়েছে মূলত বেশি বেশি বই পড়ার কারণেই।

কিন্তু একসময় আমার পাঠ্য বইয়ের চেয়ে পাঠ্য বহির্ভূত বই ( যাকে এক কথায় " আউট বই " বলা হয় ) বেশি পড়তাম।

আর এটা দেখেই আব্বা আমাকে প্রায় সময়ই বলতেন , " কী করবে তুই ? "

মূলত স্কুল কলেজ মাদ্রাসারই বইয়ের ব্যবসা ছিলো।

আর পাঠ্য বইয়ের বাইরে উইলিয়ম শেক্সপিয়র , রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর , বঙ্কিমচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায় , বিভূতিভূষণ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় , মানিক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ...... র বই থাকতো।

সেইসঙ্গে থাকতো বাংলা ভাষায় অনুবাদ করা বিভিন্ন দেশের বই। যেমন - রামায়ণ , মহাভারত , শাহনামা , ইলিয়াড , ওডিসি , এরাবিয়ান নাইটস ......। 

🌟 রামচন্দ্র কর্তৃক রাবণকে হত্যা , শ্রীকৃষ্ণ কর্তৃক কুরুক্ষেত্রের যুদ্ধে অর্জনের রথের চালক ( পার্থসারথী = The Guide And Philosopher ) হওয়া , সোহরাব - রুসতম তথা পিতাপুত্রের যুদ্ধ , ট্রয় নগরির যুদ্ধ , হেক্টরের নিহত হওয়া , ইউলিসিসের বাড়িতে ফেরার বার বার প্রচেষ্টা , সিন্দবাদ নাবিকের সপ্ত বিণিজ্যের অভিযান আমাকে অভিভূত করত। 

লাইব্রেরিতেই আমার দিন রাতের অনেকটা সময় আমি অতিবাহিত করতাম।

এক সময় দেখলাম আমার বাবার লাইব্রেরির আর কোন বই আর আমার পড়ার বাকি রইলনা।

আর তাই সম্ভবত ক্লাস ফাইভের যখন আমি ছাত্র ছিলাম - তখন থেকেই বই কেনা শুরু করি। এমন বই , যে বই আমার বাবার লাইব্রেরিতে নাই।

🌟 আর ধীরে ধীরে বই পড়ার পাশাপাশি বই কেনাও আমার অভ্যাসে পরিণত হল।

একসময় আমি বুঝতে পারলাম , বই কিনতে কিনতে আমি যদি আমাদের শহরের বাড়ি তো বটেই গ্রামের বাড়ি , সকল জমি , বাঁশ বাগান এমনকি পুকুর ডোবাও যদি আমি বই কিনে ভরাট করে ফেলি তবুও আর বই কেনা শেষ হবেনা।

কেননা , দুনিয়াতে এতো বই আছে যে , কোন ব্যক্তির দ্বারা সম্ভব না সকল বই কেনা।

কিন্তু তা সত্ত্বেও আমি বই কেনা অব্যাহত রেখেছি।

🌟 বর্তমানে বইয়ের এপস , পিডিএফ আছে। কিন্তু আগে এই ব্যবস্থা না থাকার কারণে আমাকে বিভিন্ন স্হান থেকে বই কিনতে হতো।

কিশোরগঞ্জ , ময়মনসিংহ এমনকি ঢাকা বাংলা বাজার , নীলক্ষেত থেকেও বই কিনেছি।

এভাবেই আমি আমার ব্যক্তিগত লাইব্রেরি গড়ে তুলেছি।

🌟 পিতামাতা অবশ্যই আশা করেন , নিজের সন্তান যেন প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। 

আর আমার বাবা তো মুক্তিযুদ্ধের আগেই উচ্চ শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত হয়েছিলেন। সেকারণেই আমার ব্যাপারে আশা করারই কথা। শুধু আমার ব্যাপারেই না - বরং আমার অন্য দুই ভাইয়ের ক্ষেত্রেও। 

কিন্তু আমার মতো পাঠ্য বইয়ের বাইরের ( আউট বইয়ের ) প্রতি ওদের তেমন কোন আগ্রহ ছিলো বলে আমার তেমন একটা জানা নাই। 

কিন্তু আমার অতিমাত্রায় আউট বইয়ের প্রতি আগ্রহের কারণে আমার আব্বা এই টেনশনটা করতেন যে , আমি যদি আউট বই পড়ার কারণে প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত হতে না পাড়ি , তবে কী করবো ? 

আমি দেখেছি , আমি আমার পিতা ও পিতামহ , অর্থাৎ বংশসূত্রে যে সম্পদের অধিকারি - তা আমার সমাজের খুব কম মানুষেরই আছে। তাই উচ্চ শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত হয়ে জীবিকা নির্বাহের কোন পরিকল্পনা অথবা নিয়্যত আমার মধ্যে ছিলো না। 

🌟 আমি আমার ছোটবেলায় চিন্তা করতাম উইলিয়াম শেক্সপিয়র , রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর , কাউন্ট লিও টলস্টয়ের কথা - যিনিরা প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শিক্ষা ছাড়াই জীবনে , সমাজে ও জ্ঞানের জগতে আত্মপ্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিলেন। 

এমনকি উচ্চ শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত হয়েও শেষে তিনিদেরও অন্যান্য মহান ব্যক্তিগণ অনুসরণ করেছেন। 

স্যার উইনস্টন চার্চিল , মাইকেল মধুসূদন দত্ত , জহরলাল পণ্ডিৎ নেহরু , প্রথম চৌধুরি ...... উচ্চ শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত হয়েও - জ্ঞানচর্চা গ্রহণ করেছেন। 

আমি মূলত জ্ঞানের প্রতি আগ্রহ , বংশসূত্রে প্রাপ্ত সম্পত্তি আর মহান ব্যক্তিগণের প্রেরণা কারণেই জ্ঞানের প্রতি আকৃষ্ট হই। 

🌟 ইমাম আযম আবু হানিফা রাহ্. , সম্রাট ঔরঙ্গজেব আলমগির রাহ্. ধনাঢ্য ও ব্যস্ত ব্যক্তি হওয়া সত্ত্বেও নিজেদেরকে জ্ঞানের জন্য উৎসর্গ করেছিলেন । 

উক্ত মহান ব্যক্তিগণের জীবন আমাকে অন্যরকম এক অনুপ্রেরণা যোগাতো। 

কিন্তু আমার বাবা চাচ্ছিলেন আমি যেন উচ্চ শিক্ষিত হই। আমি অবশ্য তা হয়েছিও। 

অনার্স , মাস্টার্স আর এলএলবি - বাংলাদেশের উচ্চশিক্ষা। 

কিন্তু প্রথম অবস্থায় আমার প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শিক্ষার চেয়ে সরাসরি জ্ঞানচর্চার প্রতি আগ্রহ ছিল বেশি। 

তাই এই পরিস্থিতিতে আমাকে আমার আব্বা প্রায়ই , " কী করবে তুই ? " বলাটাই স্বাভাবিক। 

🌟 আমার সেই ছোটবেলাতেই , কাউন্ট লিও টলস্টয়ের " ওয়ার এন্ড পিস " , আলেকজান্ডার বেলায়েভের " দি এম্ফিবিয়ান ম্যান " , রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের " গোরা " , শরৎচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায়ের শ্রীকান্ত , ইয়ান ফ্লেমিং এর " ড. নো " ...... পড়তে পড়তে রাত দুইটা তিনটা হতো আর আমার আব্বা তা দেখে শুধু বলতেন , " কী করবে তুই ? " 

🌟 শুধু তাই না , বরং দাখিল ( SSC )

  পরীক্ষার সময় আমাকে কুরআন পরীক্ষার আগের রাতে মুফতি মুহাম্মাদ শফির রাহ্. " তাফসিরে মারেফুল কুরআন " পড়তে দেখে শুধু অবাকই হয়েছিলেন। 

আবার আমাকে ইংরেজি পরীক্ষার আগের রাতে ইয়ান ফ্লেমিং এর " থান্ডার বল " উপন্যাস পড়তে দেখে আব্বা বলেছিলেন , " এখন কি তোমার এগুলো পড়ার সময় , কী করবে তুই ? " 

কেননা , ততদিনে আমার আব্বা বুঝতে পেরেছিলেন আমাকে শুধু পাঠ্য বইয়ের মধ্যে আবদ্ধ করতে চাওয়া মানে আকাশের দুরন্ত ঈগলকে ছোট্ট খাঁচায় বন্দী করার মতো ব্যাপার।

🌟 কিন্তু 2001 সালে দাখিল পরীক্ষা আমি ভালোভাবে পাশ করার পর আমার আব্বা বুঝতে পেরেছিলেন যে , আমি আমার লক্ষ্যে ঠিক আছি।

এরপর থেকে আউট বই পড়ার ব্যপারে আমার আব্বা তেমন একটা কথা বলতেন না।

🌟 আমি এলএলবি পাশ করেছি 2017 সালে আর আব্বা ইন্তেকাল করেছেন 2018 সালে। অর্থাৎ , আব্বা আমার আত্মপ্রতিষ্ঠা দেখার পর মৃত্যু বরণ করেছিলেন।
