The word shaykh has two meanings.
1) Ustad or teacher or master.
2) Elderly or old or aged.
In the combination of these two words, it is appropriate to call Shaykh Abdur Rahman an Old Teacher.
Yes.
I am talking about Shaykh Abdur Rahman of JMB.
Old teacher Abdur Rahman, a resident of Chunutia (regional pronunciation, Chunteya) in Jamalpur, was teaching like ten other madrasa teachers.
No words, no message. Suddenly he appeared in the media as a militant leader.
Where is Jamalpur and where is Rajshahi?
Leaving teaching in Jamalpur, he joined Siddiqul Islam alias Bangla Bhai https://parg.co/bRAw In the campaign to suppress the proletariat.
It's like being a little surprised.
🌟 The anti-proletarian campaign in Rajshahi region in 2004 was mainly a youth based campaign.
Adolescents and young people were the main life force in that campaign.
And the presence and participation of an old gentleman like Shaykh Abdur Rahman in that expedition was a matter of astonishment.
🌟 Another surprising thing is that in 2004 when Bangla Bhai was killing one after another in Rajshahi region - but the name of Bura Huzur (Old Teacher) did not appear in any newspaper.
It came after a nationwide bombing on August 17, 2005.
Then it became known that besides the Bengali brother, the old teacher also killed people with his own hands.
🌟 And the old teacher himself was a very young man in his personal life.
The man who took a woman of his daughter's age as his second wife and joined the campaign of suppressing the proletariat by joining the boys of his grandson's age must call the old lord a youth dependent.
And that second wife was a constant companion till the arrest of the old lord.
At an age when people usually leave the world's troubles and live in solitude - at that age he took part in risky campaigns such as the suppression of the proletariat.

The movement that took place in 1857 was led by Mangal Pandey, Nana Saheb, Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi and many others.

শায়খ শব্দের দুটো অর্থ আছে।
১ ) উস্তাদ বা শিক্ষক বা হুজুর।
২ ) প্রবীণ বা বৃদ্ধ বা বুড়া।
এই দুই শব্দের সমাবেশে শায়খ আব্দুর রহমানকে বুড়া হুজুর (Old Teacher) বলাটা যথাযথই হয়।
হ্যাঁ।
জেএমবির শায়খ আব্দুর রহমানের কথাই বলছি।
জামালপুরের চুনুটিয়া ( আঞ্চলিক উচ্চারণ , ছুনটেয়া ) নিবাসি মাদ্রাসা শিক্ষক আব্দুর রহমান আর দশ জন মাদ্রাসা শিক্ষকের মতোই শিক্ষকতা করছিলেন।
কথা নাই বার্তা নাই। হঠাৎ করে তিনি মিডিয়াতে আবির্ভূত হলেন জঙ্গিনেতা হিসেবে।
কোথায় জামালপুর আর কোথায় রাজশাহী ?
জামালপুর থেকে শিক্ষকতা ছেড়ে তিনি যোগ দিলেন সিদ্দিকুল ইসলাম ওরফে বাংলা ভাইয়ের ( বাংলা ভাই কি আসলেই বাংলার সেরা ভাই ? ) সঙ্গে সর্বহারা দমনের অভিযানে।
একটু আশ্চর্য হওয়ার মতোই ঘটনা বটে।
🌟 2004 সালে রাজশাহী অঞ্চলে সর্বহারা বিরোধি অভিযান ছিলো মূলত তারুণ্য নির্ভর এক অভিযান।
যে অভিযানে কিশোর আর তরুণেরাই ছিলো মূল প্রাণশক্তি।
আর সেই অভিযানে শায়খ আব্দুর রহমানের মতো একজন বুড়া হুজুরের উপস্থিতি ও অংশ গ্রহণ ছিলো রীতিমত আশ্চর্য জনক একটা ব্যাপার।
🌟 আরেকটা আশ্চর্য জনক ব্যাপার হচ্ছে , 2004 সালে যখন বাংলা ভাই রাজশাহী অঞ্চলে একের পর খুন করছিলো - তখন কিন্তু বুড়া হুজুরের নাম কোন পত্রিকাতে আসেনি।
এসেছে 2005 সালের আগস্ট মাসের 17 তারিখে সারাদেশে বোমা হামলার পরে।
তখন এটা জানাজানি হয় যে , বাংলা ভাইয়ের পাশাপাশি বুড়া হুজুরও নিজের হাতে মানুষ খুন করেছিলো।
🌟 আর বুড়া হুজুর নিজেও ব্যক্তিগত জীবনে ছিলেন বেশ তারুণ্য স্বভাবের মানুষ।
যে ব্যক্তি নিজের মেয়ের বয়সী এক মহিলাকে দ্বিতীয় স্ত্রী হিসেবে গ্রহণ করেছিলেন আবার নিজের নাতির বয়সী ছেলেদের সঙ্গে যোগ দিয়ে সর্বহারা দমনের অভিযানে অংশ গ্রহণ করেছিলেন , সে বুড়া হুজুরকে তারুণ্য নির্ভর বলতেই হয়। আর ঐ দ্বিতীয় স্ত্রী ছিলেন বুড়া হুজুরের গ্রেফতার হওয়া পর্যন্ত নিত্যসঙ্গী।
যে বয়সে মানুষ সাধারণত দুনিয়ার ঝামেলা ত্যাগ করে নিরিবিলিতে জীবন অতিবাহিত করেন - সে বয়সে তিনি সর্বহারা দমনের মতো ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ অভিযানে অংশ গ্রহণ করেছিলেন।
🌟 বুড়া মানুষ কর্তৃক বড় ধরণের অভিযান অথবা আন্দোলন কিন্তু নতুন ঘটনা না।
1857 সালে যে আন্দোলন হয়েছিলো - তাতে নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছিলেন মঙ্গল পাণ্ডে , নানা সাহেব , ঝাঁসির রাণী লক্ষ্মী বাঈ ...... সহ অনেকেই।
আর তিনিদের আদর্শ (Idol) বা আইকন (Icon) অথবা মেনটর (Mentor) ছিলেন সম্রাট বাবরের বংশধর সম্রাট বাহাদুর শাহ জাফর ।
কে জানে , হয়তো বুড়া হুজুর ঐ ঐতিহাসিক ঘটনা দ্বারা প্রভাবিত হয়েছিলেন কিনা ?
🌟 তবে যা - ই হউক , যেখানে চারু মজুমদারের
মতো ব্যক্তিকে সর্বহারারা আইকন হিসেবে ব্যবহার করেছে - সেখানে বাংলা ভাইয়েরা যদি বুড়া হুজুরের মতো ব্যক্তিকে পাল্টা আইকন হিসেবে ব্যবহার করে , তবে অসম্ভব কোন ব্যাপার হয়তো না। হলে হতেও পারে।
মতো ব্যক্তিকে সর্বহারারা আইকন হিসেবে ব্যবহার করেছে - সেখানে বাংলা ভাইয়েরা যদি বুড়া হুজুরের মতো ব্যক্তিকে পাল্টা আইকন হিসেবে ব্যবহার করে , তবে অসম্ভব কোন ব্যাপার হয়তো না। হলে হতেও পারে।
🌟 অদ্ভুত আরেকটা ব্যাপার হলো , বুড়া হুজুরের নামডাক মিডিয়াও কমাতে পারেনি।
2005 সালে ক্লোজ আপ ওয়ানের তিন জনের মধ্যে দুজনই ছিলো জামালপুরের। নোলক বাবু আর রাজীব।
কিন্তু ঐ দুজনের পাবলিসিটিও পারেনি কমাতে বুড়া হুজুরের পাবলিসিটিকে।
এমনকি , 14 বছর পরও বুড়া হুজুরের অনুসারি ধরা পড়ে - কিন্তু নোলক বাবু অথবা রাজীবের কোন অডিও এলবাম প্রকাশ হয় না।
ব্যাপারটা সত্যিই খুব অদ্ভুত তাই না ?
🌟 2007 সালে রাষ্ট্রদোহ , বোমা হামলা আর মানুষ খুনের অপরাধে ফাঁসিতে বুড়া হুজুরের মৃত্যুদণ্ড কার্যকর করা হয়।
কিন্তু আমার মনে এখনও প্রশ্ন জাগে , বাংলাদেশ কি বুড়া হুজুরের তেলেসমাতি (Magic of The Old Teacher) থেকে সম্পূর্ণভাবে মুক্ত হতে পেরেছে ?
🌟 কিন্তু হউক আর না হউক - বাংলা ভাই অথবা বুড়া হুজুরের মতো অরাজনৈতিকভাবে ক্ষমতা দখলের চেষ্টা না করে বাংলাদেশের মানুষের উচিৎ স্বাভাবিক গণতান্ত্রিক উপায়ে রাজনীতি করা।
